Let’s start by creating the aspirated sound ‘.Dh’ (ढ़) using the letters ‘.De’ and the ‘do chashmii he’:

And now, let’s look at the word “pa.Dh” (पढ़):

Let’s take this one step further and see how the word “pa.Dhnaa” (पढ़ना) is written:

Clearly, all the rules used to join Urdu letters that we’ve studied so far, are at play here. Similarly, here’s another word - “cha.Dhnaa”(चढ़ना) as an example:
