THE WORD - “URDU”

So far, in this course, we’ve come across four sets of non-connecting letters, namely - ‘alif’, ‘daal’ group, ‘re’ group and ‘vaao’. These are all the non-connectors in the Urdu alphabet.

This is also very easy to remember. Here’s a trick - the word “Urdu” is spelled using only these four letters. Look below. Focus on the letters in black:
