In the previous section, we saw examples where a letter of the 're' group was immediately followed by an ‘alif’. Now let’s look at creating some more words where a 'daal' group letter is followed by another consonant. Let’s take the word “rab” (रब), meaning "God", for example:

Above: ‘re’ + ‘be’ = “rab”

In the example above, the letter ‘be’ is in its final position and therefore, does not change shape.

Let’s look at another example now, the word - “a.Dnaa” (अड़ना), meaning "to be obstinate":

Above: “alif” + “.De” + “nuun” + “alif” = “a.Dnaa”

Let’s look the word - “ridaa” (रिदा), meaning "Scarf":

Above: 're' + 'daal' + 'alif' = “ridaa”

Let’s look the word - “ruKH” (रुख़), meaning "face":

Above: 're' + 'pesh' + 'KHe' = "ruKH"

NOTE

Letters of the 're' group, being non-connectors, follow pretty much the same rules as the letters of the 'daal' group in creating words.
